Every Man A Warrior Workshop - Helping Men Succeed in Life

Every Man A Warrior Workshop - Helping Men Succeed in Life

Join disciple making men from throughout this region who are coming together for an in-depth and interactive workshop to develop "Expert Builders" who develop multiplying disciple makers.  This will be in Lincoln on April 29th & 30th, 2022 and will take place at Christ Place Church - 1111 Old Cheney Rd, Lincoln, NE 68512

How do we help men really engage in personal, daily time with God and grow in their ability to allow the truths of God's word to saturate their hearts and minds to live their lives as men who reflect the gifts of God's Spirit; men who attract others to the love of Christ Jesus?

Why should I consider attending this EMAW Workshop?

Recent Gallup studies show that 86% of Americans are deeply concerned that the state of moral values in the U.S. is greatly declining!  These studies, as well as Barna research, attribute this to increasing opposition to God in favor of secular humanism.  Much of this comes from a growing lack of the understanding of God’s truths and/or clear facts about the life of Jesus.

A good way to counter this trend is to help men understand how spending time with God, in study of the parts of Scripture that apply to their wounds and misconceptions, can really benefit their lives.  Most of them will need help in developing the skills needed to quiet their minds, meditate on what they read, openly discuss it, internalize it, understand how they are going to apply the needed changes to their lives and be consistently helped to take the steps.

Throughout the country, where EMAW is effectively led, men are being guided into a growing love for Christ and are developing the skills to understand and apply God’s truths to all areas of their lives.  We are beginning to see cultures change due to an increase in the percentage of men living out God’s Word in those communities.

The skills are more deeply internalized when a man goes on to lead a small group and the curriculum gives him that experience of leadership.  However, it is apparent that the growth and development of the man is directly linked to how he experienced the EMAW Process – how his first group was led.  There is a tendency to lead as you were led.

There are now obvious methods, techniques and processes that bring success and others that don’t.  Therefore, guiding men to understand the leadership methods and processes that result in changed lives and multiplying disciple-makers becomes very important.  This is the objective of this EMAW Leader Retreat.

What will the experience be like?

Our time together will begin on Friday with a light snack and beverage available from 6 to 6:30 PM and the main sessions starting at 6:30 PM.  Many of the men attending will have experienced Every Man A Warrior or have a desire to understand how God best uses EMAW to develop skilled disciples of Christ and disciple-makers.  We will have one Development Topic on Friday evening and two on Saturday.

The topic for Friday evening is “Starting Right”.  We will have a time of worship & prayer prior to each Development Topic and the topic will have a 25-minute introduction.  This introduction will include a life-testimony related to that topic.  Then we will go to assigned small groups with key questions to discuss about that topic.  These small group discussions will all note their key “Take-Aways” as well as suggested “Next Steps” on how to apply what they have learned into what God wants to do throughout the state.  We will take a break at 8:30 PM and recap the results of all the small groups discussion of topic 1.  Friday evening will end by 9:00 PM.

Saturday will start with coffee, juice and a snack at 8:00 AM.  The second Development Topic is “Leading Effectively” and we will follow the same process as we did with the first topic on Friday.  We will have a break at 10 AM and then start the third Development Topic; which is “Finishing Well”.  We will complete our third small group discussion at 11:30 AM to rejoin each other for the whole group to recap the results of topics 2 and 3.  Lunch will be served from Noon to 1:00 PM at which time we will have our final discussion.  Worship & Prayer will start that discussion.  We will have a final life-change testimony followed by a group summary of what we have learned including our main “Take-Aways” and the intentional “Next Steps” on how to apply what they have learned into the state-wide ministry.  We will have an active Q&A and finish by 3:00 PM.

All participants will understand how to stay connected to other leaders throughout the state and will be a part of the state-wide process of coming alongside churches and individual men.   The ministry objective is to help men be fruitful small group leaders whom God utilizes to help His Word change lives and multiply disciple-makers.

How will it benefit me or our ministry?

There are several benefits to each man; here is an important one.  Those of us who have led small groups realize that the man who grows the most is the one who begins the leadership of that group.

A recent testimony from the wife of an EMAW leader stated, “I have seen a transformation in my husband since he has been leading EMAW groups.  He is now gentler with his words towards me and the kids. He spends more time in prayer and asks the Lord how to apply what the Word is teaching him. He asks questions about how I feel when he does certain things or acts in a certain way.  My love for him grows more each time he tries to act and react in a Godlier way.  Thank you for following the Lord’s leading and teaching our men how to be the warriors, husbands, and the fathers God calls them to be.”  Some of these wives add – “He shines more brightly when he’s leading a group.  If he goes without staying connected for a while, I can tell when he is not applying the principals.”

Many churches around the country have also testified of the major increase in the number of qualified men who are stepping up to lead within the church body and invest in the needs of the church.  They state the main reason for expanding leadership is coming from the EMAW Process.  This is also directly related to how well the leaders applied the “Best-case Principals” of leading EMAW small groups.

What’s expected of me?

The Every Man A Warrior Process is not for everyone; however, when a man knows what this skill-development process entails and truly wants to commit to experiencing it with God, he will generally go on to lead.  Many will fail at leadership because they use the leadership techniques they have learned in school, business training conferences, online training, etc.  The EMAW Process is not taught, it is experienced with peers who want the same outcome and is led by men who understands what God really wants other men to learn through the experience.  That’s where you come in.

1st – we’d like you to participate in this EMAW Leaders Workshop to be a part of a group of men who want to be vessels for God to guide men to become all He wants them to be and go on to be an active part of the ‘Great Commission’.

2nd – to come with a heart prepared to hear from God and act on what you hear.  We ask that you Talk with God about this opportunity and ask for His direction, wisdom, and protection.

3rd – be open to a calling to serve into the lives of other men to prepare them for a growing relationship with Jesus and a life that reflects the nature of God to all He puts into their lives.
